An overview of some of the rigging/technical work I have done. Including:
-Maya Camera rigs
-character rigging
-layout/scene rigging
-camera projection
-dynamics
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments! A lot of this work will be appearing in fully rendered form in upcoming and current projects or on my next reel and some of these assets may soon be available on this site.
very nice. cool to see some new stuff from ya. Going to finally upgrade from the ol powerbook g4 here in a month or so – might have to check your “new” place out. Seeing as I’m working not far from ya, should have been by before now.
yeah, dustin, you succkkkkk
Cool camera rigs in maya. Do you have documentation on how you created those? I think I’ll take a stab at creating something like that this weekend. It always provides for super realistic camera movements in 3d.. and i like that! 🙂
That is the idea! I really just have used basic rigging techniques on the cameras. Lots of little tricks to learn to just use Maya nodes and not deal with expressions though. I am actually thinking about getting them up for download on my site though. Definitely in beta form though 🙂 I am actually working on a geared camera rig like you would normally see in features and on cranes and things. You have to find ways to put some limits on the camera to give it a better feel.
If I make them available I will definitely do a little overview video and show how to deconstruct them a bit.
